EXPERTISE
-
I research gender, sexuality, and race in twentieth century American musical theatre. My dissertation is titled "Reading Against the 'Golden Age': Queer Tactics in Musical Theatre (1934–2022)."
-
I merge historical study with embodied artistry by supporting live productions as a dramaturg, writer, and assistant musical director/director.
-
Uplifting the work of marginalized creators and dismantling white supremacist cisheteropatriarchal systems is at the center of my ethos.
-
As a teacher, I seek to instill curiosity about the world of music, and empower students to generate and express original ideas.
